We got lots of presents to. Our main ones were a dsi each and guitar hero. Thank so much if you got us a present. We did not expect anything so thank you again. We had lots of cake at school then we watched lots of movies with one of our friends and we also went to the movies. We went to a restaurant of the evening of our birthday and we used all our presents. It was very cool......Next subject....... We have some friends over for a couple of weeks. We are going whale watching tomorrow They have gone to the Gold Coast for a few days and also Sydney they have seen quite a bit. It is lots of fun it is just a shame they aren’t here for longer. SO IM REALLY ANGREY ABOUT THAT. anyway thats about all my news sorry if theres any spelling mistakes!! cya oxoxox text/html 1970-01-01T00:00:00+01:00 http://www.doubletroubleblog.co.uk/ Anna http://www.doubletroubleblog.co.uk/comment/2009/05/02/What+we+have+been+up+to/73/ Hey guys, Hope everyone is ok .We survived the cross country in fact better than that Gabbie came 4th and I came 6th so now we have to go through to districts which means more running (Groan)Actually we quite enjoyed it but playing tennis for an hour each after was hard !!! we had our parent/teacher interviews and Mum said we were marvellous of course we are !!! We are now back swimming for the last 5 weeks the water is so cold when we get out its lovely in the day but as soon as it gets dark which is about 6 p.m. its ffffreezing. We have now started playing hockey we had our first match yesterday and we won 5-0 Yipee. The waterpolo has now finished which we really enjoyed and can't wait for the new season to begin.So as you can see we have been pretty busy. When we get the chance we go to the gym with Mum ehich might have helped our cross country as we go on the running machine alot. We are really looking forward to catching up with everyone but hope its not as busy as last year- we have more time in the UK so hopefully it will be a bit easier. Better go as we are off to stay at some friends down on the gold coast for the week-end. We are planning on going away for a week-end to a western type show called Outback spectacular , we are going with our next door neighbours who are great. dad and Craig (thats the guy from next door ) are soooo similar it's scarey.We are staying at sea-world resort for the night and we should be able to go and see the shows there again so I can't wait for that.We also have some plans to go up to Brooke and Amber's Mum and Dad's farm soon which will be great although they have had 5 snakes in their chiken house so i won't be going to see the chucks. They sent some pictures and over here they call them carpet snakes but they are pythons no thanks not for me. So far we haven't seen anything like that on our property thank goodness !!!!! Well I think that's everything now love to everyone Got to go text/html 1970-01-01T00:00:00+01:00 http://www.doubletroubleblog.co.uk/ Gabbie http://www.doubletroubleblog.co.uk/comment/2009/02/15/An+Update+on+our+busy+lives/70/ Happy New Year everyone I know it is February but I just don't know where the time has gone.We are now back at school and we have a very cool teacher,there are only 21 in our class which is great the teacher is from Canada and is very enthusiastic and makes learning so much fun! We had our school swimming carnival and both Anna and I got through to the next level but we didn't do too well because it was pouring with rain and cold- so cold in fact mum had to nip out of the swim meet and get us some fleeces !!!! Now we are back at school we are busy with our Tennis -we do betwenn 7 and 8 hours a week and then we swim over 12 hours a week and now TODAY we are starting waterpolo for 10 weeks which we are really excited about alot of our friends from swimming do it at school and it sounds great so we will see. Today mum is at work and Dad is going to take us to see the Veronica sisters who are at a nearby shopping mall -they actually come from Brisbane and apparently live or their family lives in cashmere on a big plot ! So thats about it I think can't think of much else that is going on apart from the fact that we are now coming to England in July and I hope we can catch up with everyone when we do .I hope it won't be as mad as last time it was so crazy but great fun really.Hope you have all recovered from the snow we are having some very strange weather it rained in Brisbane for 2 days and now its lovely and sunny,which is just as well as our Friends Brooke and Amber arrive todya from the U.K and wanted it to be hot hot hot .Miss you all and look forward to seeing you all. Ps we are doing some fund raising at school for the fire victims in Melbourne ,one of our friends Steph ,her family are from around that area and I think she said they are all ok but have lost their houses it really is terrible. This week is activity week and today we are playing golf and hopefully going to do pool games in the pool so that will cool me down!! Anyway we are now truly into summer and it is very hot thank goodness we only have a week and a half of school left. School is going really well both Gabbie and I have been selected to attend the achiever's and prize giving ceremony Gabbie has got an award for academics and I have got age champion for swimming and I also found out yesterday I am the only person in our class to get an Art award too!!Mum and Dad are very proud of us and keep telling us which is a bit embarassing.We are both swimming in the State Relay teams and hope we do well but there is alot of competition. Well done to all our friend's who swam at Ponds Forge in the Derbyshires especially Lucy and Oliver Severn who got a bronze for backstroke.We are swimming lots at the moment as it keeps us cool !!! Dad has been away alot with work and he also has lots of work in Brisbane after the storms so he is very tired.Mum is working full time and last week-end had a very bad shoulder from her arthritis i think that's how you spell it. They say it was the biggest storm in 23+ years. Lots of trees have got damaged and lots of roads got closed. Luckily the house didnt get damaged and we are all ok. There was a black out for about 12 hours and whilst the storm was going on we were at the neighbours house luckily they had all this camping stuff and new what to do. Dad was in Barcelona so he wasnt here when we were having fun. The thunder was really loud and the lightning lit up the sky it was amazing. Last night There was also a storm with wind, rain and hail but we didnt watch it. Dad also came home last night after 9 days we missed him so much. He thought the storm last night was bad and laughed when we told him it was tiny. I am in the library and i have seen some other people in my class because they are trying to finsh the project that is suppose to be in today ( that is the one Anna and i have already handed in). Today (Friday) we have Club night,Tommorow (Saturday) We have this Clinic thing and are meeting 2 Olympian Swimmers and on Sunday we are at another swimming comp so we are doing alot of swimming. The first day we did Caneoing and body boarding which were both really GOOD FUN. Tuesday we did Beach Olympics,Archery and Mountain Biking(10k ride). All of them were really good but right at the end of the bike ride i fell of and grazed the whole of my knee it KILLED!!!!! It was bleeding like bad and it still herts now after a week. Mums been buting stuff on it and giving me tablets but it still herts. and ARCHERY was BORING(sorry if my spellings bad my eyes r still half closed so i cant c the letters) On wednesday we did Mid-ropes and Flying fox that was great as well but i didnt do much because of my knee :( but i still did the flying fox which was really high they had to get a ladder at the lowest bit to get u down. So we had a relly good time and the beach was beautiful and the waves were huge!!!! At Club Night all of the swimmers at our club that want to try and get some good swimming times go and have a little race but it is just to get times. I did well and so did Anna. We both got 39 secs and something for 50m freestyle and i got 44sec and something for 50m backstroke and Anna got 45 somthing. For 100m backstroke i am not sure what we got but i came 1st in our little race thing. Anna was not happy with her time but i think she did well. Anna did well on breaststroke but she wanted to do better and i did realy bad (i can't do breaststroke very well). We both got 48 something on the 50m butterfly but Anna just beat me but i think i could of done better because i could not see. I think overall we did good. School is great and we have our friend over today so she should be here shortly. Yesterday we went to a party down the road which went till late so we slept in today but mum had to go to work.
