What we have been up to

Hey guys,

Hope everyone is ok .We survived the cross country in fact better than that Gabbie came 4th and I came 6th so now we have to go through to districts which means more running (Groan)Actually we quite enjoyed it but playing tennis for an hour each after was hard !!!

we had our parent/teacher interviews and Mum said we were marvellous of course we are !!!

We are now back swimming for the last 5 weeks the water is so cold when we get out its lovely in the day but as soon as it gets dark which is about 6 p.m. its ffffreezing.

We have now started playing hockey we had our first match yesterday and we won 5-0 Yipee.

The waterpolo has now finished which we really enjoyed and can't wait for the new season to begin.So as you can see we have been pretty busy.

When we get the chance we go to the gym with Mum ehich might have helped our cross country as we go on the running machine alot.

We are really looking forward to catching up with everyone but hope its not as busy as last year- we have more time in the UK so hopefully it will be a bit easier.

Better go as we are off to stay at some friends down on the gold coast for the week-end.

hey guys

not long know till we come over to England....wat like 9 weeks..yer!wow!!!!!

so hope ur all having fun and stuff.Hows the weather? dad just went over and said it was ok 4 engand!! so he's back now!!yey!!!we r in term 2 now i think its the 2nd week of it. soon we have cross-country and i thnik we have to run 4k or walk i think ill just b jogging!!!as i hate running!!!!!so we have like the biggest and hardest music assiment so i better go and finish that up im nearly done know though.

so i will try and talk soon but im so bizzy with school.

A few things we forgot to mention !!!!

Hi we forgot to mention that we had a huge street party on Australia day which is the 26th January and the whole street dressed up in Ozzie type clothes- Gabbie had some board shorts with the australian flag on them and a t-shirt with go oz on it, I had a pair of board shorts with green and yellow Australias sporting colours and we got fake tatoos (dad was not very impressed )We had a great day they roasted a whole lamb on a spit and had loads of desserts especially pavlova it was great fun and we all jumped into the pools at the neighbours house and had water fights.

We are planning on going away for a week-end to a western type show called Outback spectacular , we are going with our next door neighbours who are great. dad and Craig (thats the guy from next door ) are soooo similar it's scarey.We are staying at sea-world resort for the night and we should be able to go and see the shows there again so I can't wait for that.We also have some plans to go up to Brooke and Amber's Mum and Dad's farm soon which will be great although they have had 5 snakes in their chiken house so i won't be going to see the chucks. They sent some pictures and over here they call them carpet snakes but they are pythons no thanks not for me.

So far we haven't seen anything like that on our property thank goodness !!!!!

An Update on our busy lives

Happy New Year everyone I know it is February but I just don't know where the time has gone.We are now back at school and we have a very cool teacher,there are only 21 in our class which is great the teacher is from Canada and is very enthusiastic and makes learning so much fun!

We had our school swimming carnival and both Anna and I got through to the next level but we didn't do too well because it was pouring with rain and cold- so cold in fact mum had to nip out of the swim meet and get us some fleeces !!!!

Now we are back at school we are busy with our Tennis -we do betwenn 7 and 8 hours a week and then we swim over 12 hours a week and now TODAY we are starting waterpolo for 10 weeks which we are really excited about alot of our friends from swimming do it at school and it sounds great so we will see.

Today mum is at work and Dad is going to take us to see the Veronica sisters who are at a nearby shopping mall -they actually come from Brisbane and apparently live or their family lives in cashmere on a big plot !

So thats about it I think can't think of much else that is going on apart from the fact that we are now coming to England in July and I hope we can catch up with everyone when we do .I hope it won't be as mad as last time it was so crazy but great fun really.Hope you have all recovered from the snow we are having some very strange weather it rained in Brisbane for 2 days and now its lovely and sunny,which is just as well as our Friends Brooke and Amber arrive todya from the U.K and wanted it to be hot hot hot .Miss you all and look forward to seeing you all.

Ps we are doing some fund raising at school for the fire victims in Melbourne ,one of our friends Steph ,her family are from around that area and I think she said they are all ok but have lost their houses it really is terrible. Dad keep's watching the news -trouble is its the same thing everytime. Did you get to see the fireman who gave the Koala a drink it was so cute.

We haven't seen any Koala's around our land for a bit.

Yes 2day is my last day of school, it really finishes 2moro but we have 2 clean the school. at the weekend we have state relays in swimming so fingers cross we do ok! This week is activity week and today we are playing golf and hopefully going to do pool games in the pool so that will cool me down!! I AM SO HAPPY !!!!!We have 6 weeks off (I think) for Christmas!!!!Em thats all i have to say really. Sorry we are not on this much latly but we are soooooooooooo busy like 24/7 seriously!!!!!

Sorry for the lack of entries

Hi everyone hope you are all well we have really struggled to get internet access recently and the libary has been closed for stock take ,and that's our other place we can do our blog so huge apologies.

Anyway we are now truly into summer and it is very hot thank goodness we only have a week and a half of school left.

School is going really well both Gabbie and I have been selected to attend the achiever's and prize giving ceremony Gabbie has got an award for academics and I have got age champion for swimming and I also found out yesterday I am the only person in our class to get an Art award too!!Mum and Dad are very proud of us and keep telling us which is a bit embarassing.We are both swimming in the State Relay teams and hope we do well but there is alot of competition.

Well done to all our friend's who swam at Ponds Forge in the Derbyshires especially Lucy and Oliver Severn who got a bronze for backstroke.We are swimming lots at the moment as it keeps us cool !!!

Dad has been away alot with work and he also has lots of work in Brisbane after the storms so he is very tired.Mum is working full time and last week-end had a very bad shoulder from her arthritis i think that's how you spell it.

In the holidays we are looking forward to see the new Twilight movie at the moment Gabbie is reading the book and says its fantastic so I can't wait to see the film.Hopefully in the holiday we will be able to get onto our blog and write some more but just in case we can't we wish everyone in the UK a very merry christmas and we will be sending our card's and gift's this week Mum promises.

Storms

On sunday night there was a really big storm and lots of houses have got damaged. They say it was the biggest storm in 23+ years. Lots of trees have got damaged and lots of roads got closed. Luckily the house didnt get damaged and we are all ok. There was a black out for about 12 hours and whilst the storm was going on we were at the neighbours house luckily they had all this camping stuff and new what to do. Dad was in Barcelona so he wasnt here when we were having fun. The thunder was really loud and the lightning lit up the sky it was amazing. Last night There was also a storm with wind, rain and hail but we didnt watch it. Dad also came home last night after 9 days we missed him so much. He thought the storm last night was bad and laughed when we told him it was tiny. They say there might be one worse than sundays on the weekend but im not so sure because that one was really big!!!Oh there was also some rain on wednesday or tuesday and someplaces flooded!!

Anna is alot better now, she is laughing and joking and back to her normal self. Tonight we have some frieds round and tomorrow we have some neighbours round. We have had alot of projects to do at school, Anna and i have both finshed one and nearly finshed two others. The weather is realy stange, one day it is raining and the next day it is realy hot. I am in the library and i have seen some other people in my class because they are trying to finsh the project that is suppose to be in today ( that is the one Anna and i have already handed in).

We are having lots of fun. And it is nearly Chrismas! Hope you all had a great bom fire night.
